Our Story

A family craft, made the Italian way

Gerard Lombardo learned to make gelato alongside local makers in Sicily, and by 2005 he was crafting authentic Italian gelato of his own. Today he and Ericka Lombardo run Heaven on a Spoon as a family business, scooping fresh gelato in Mesa since 2019.

“We don’t sell ice cream. Gelato is a different product — more milk, less cream, and a slower churn for a denser, more flavorful scoop.”

Every batch is made with real, locally sourced ingredients alongside authentic products imported from Italy. No shortcuts, no artificial flavors, no store-bought bases.
